It's pretty easy to keylock a WM phone, you just use keybd_event to send the right keypress,
as nicely described here: http://bansky.net/bl...windows-mobile/

But trying to undo it is another matter. How do you programmatically unlock keys?

I can do it with the silly hack of issuing a left soft key press and then faking a screen tap in the rihgt place but that's never going to be reliable. Surely there's an API for unlocking the phone?

I have to confess I don't know of an API to lock / unlock the phone i'm afraid! I strongly suspect 'frigging it' the way you describe will be the only option.
