Guest trevormuk
Looking to find, or request development of a red based theme, to match in with the red displays (radio, buttons, speedo etc.. in my A3. My HTC Touch sits nicely in the brodit holder... but would look even better if the screen blended in... Many thanks for any help... Cheers
Guest mandt
I can do that for you, in fact I should have done it anyway as my dash is also red (Seat Leon) I'll knock some up and you can take your pick, or did you have anything specific in mind? Guest Madeye
I'd like this too for my A3 so if you're gonna give it a go then I'll throw a few suggestions in... - I'd not like to see a lot of Red, keeping the background all grey/black with just the text and icons in red. - I've got an O2 Orbit 2 and have used the home customizer to get the HTC home plugin on there, is there any clock/icons that can be found or developed in red to match? - I don't know if this applies to others but I don't like to advertise an Audi logo when I'm not in the car, just seems poncey, so a non branded (just coloured) theme would be ideal for me. Thanks very much mandt!
Guest mandt
Exactly what I was thinking of Madeye, a black-ish theme with red fonts and red HTC Home :D
Guest trevormuk
Nice one mate... cheers How much choice do you have on the colours ... i.e is the full pallet available? I could try and sample the colur so an exact match can be achieved? The Audi dashboard colour is a kind of orangey red... rather than pure red? Lots of black background... with any text, borders, bars etc. in the orangey/red colour... Cheers
Guest mandt
Ok here's the first attempt! The top and bottom bars are as close as I can get them, it's not as dark as it looks in the picture though. Kinda threw the background image together for now, as I've been working more on the getting the HTC Home colours right. Let me know what y'all think! Guest trevormuk
Nice one... looking good, will give it a try when driving home tonight.. Just another thought ... is it possible to have everything in black (bars, borders, background) with only the text in the red colour? Guest mandt
Here's version two: Took me ages to figure out how to get the softkey text red! The text in the top bar must stay white as the icons do not change colour when you apply a theme Download Basehue from here and set it to 160 to get the top and bottom bars nice and glossy black VAG_2.zip
Guest trevormuk
Very nice mate.. Can you give me a few pointers on loading this theme. when I tried version one... I didn't get any of the big red numbers annd icons etc.. I put the 2 folders and stk file in my device and then chose vag in the home screen settings.. Thanks for all your hard work... cheers
Guest mandt
The easiest way to change the HTC Home icons and clock fonts is to use HTC Home customizer After you've got the program installed you'll need to zip the clock and icon file packs into two archives, I called them both VAG.zip so it all ties in. Put the VAG.zip with the clock icons in your Program Files\HTC Home customizer\FILES\clock folder, and the tab icons into Program Files\HTC Home customizer\FILES\icons You can then select them within the programs settings Don't make the same mistake I did, of putting the files in a folder in a zip, or it won't work :D Edited March 7, 2008 by mandt
