Hi guys

I've converted a youtube video to mp3 file (only audio)

Then, I edited it with audacity, cut some parts, joined, bla bla, and exported to mp3 again

Then I copied the file to \\Windows\Rings

but when I try to choose it as a SMS ringtone, it doesn't show

I tried converting to wma then copying, but didn't show. It shows when I want to select is as Line1 ringtone (default)

Is there any app (I remember having RJV Ringtone Setter) for WM6 that can force a mp3 file to be the SMS ringtone ?

Thanks :D

Afaik the sms ringtones and the normal phone ringtones are in different folders.

My sms ringtone is a wave file and i put it in a folder \Application Data\Sounds

Give it a try.

you da man

it worked !

thanks Randolph :D

Can i ask with an mp3 or wav ringtone added for sms when someone sends you guys an sms and the tone is playing if you press any key will the tone stop playing?

My E650 has this problem but as the supplied sms tones are short then its not a problem but if i were to add my own and they ran on a bit normally it would be a pain.

Yes i could prob cut the mp3 down or wav down but any ordinary mobile phone i have allows any key to stop the ringing.

Cheers guys.

As far as I know and have experienced: the sms tone will not stop. And indeed - that's stupid.

As you say its very stupid and something HTC should make sure does not happen on any new products.

Do you or anyone know if the HTC Touch has the same Very Very Stupid Design Fault.

Thanks
