Is there a way to change the default start location when you goto my documents?

I did make the changes to that xml file but when I was copying it back to the phone, it told me I cant due to write error.  I tried to change attribute via windows explorer but I can't.  Any tricks to changing attributes?  I tried active sync but I did not see any options.
