Hello everyone,

The new WM 6.1 looks interesting and I would like to know how can I get the upgrade for my new Samsung i780. I searched all over but can not seem to find any information on how to get the upgrade.

Anybody? Thanks

You will have to wait until an upgrade is made for the i780. 6.1 has only just been announced by MS so it will take a while for it to filter through.
It may not even get an official release on the i780.

The i780 is specifically mentioned in the official MS Mobile 6.1 press release.

Just because it's mentioned does not mean it is instantly available or has even been made as yet. As I said above you have to wait for it to filter through. As stated in the announcement updates are due for release in the second quarter of 2008, this normally means in real terms "some time in the middle of the year"
In the past there have been update announcements for device and it can still take a long time to finally be released, sometimes for one reason or another they never make it.
