Guest Shadowfixeruk
Hi - anyone know if the BBC iPlayer is available on WinMo? I have had a look about and can't see anything.... Cheers SF
Guest jontelfer
Doesn't look like it yet - which is a shame. I read a few threads on the Wii/PS3 iplayer and it seems they are working on getting extra devices supported, just not quite quick enough for my liking I guess. If some egghead can get the PS3 to view content written for a wii, I wouldn't have thought it would be a big jump to weasel a WM6 client/bodge. Guest
Would the iPlayer be practical on WM devices? First you need quite a lot of storage to store the downloaded videos, a fast connection (the amount of traffic would rule even T-Mob W&W out) so this means most likely Wifi. Then you have the issue of battery life - lots of Wifi usage plus using the backlight watching what you have downloaded. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a way of using iPlayer on WM and would certainly have a play with it if it was possible. For now though, I just wow my friends playing back fullscreen YouTube on Coreplayer! :D

Yeah - my thinking was download during the day (via wifi) - watch on the train etc... Still think it would be cool - there are rumblings about making it available on the iphone but haven't seen anything about WM....

Now that would be cool :D Anyone want to try fooling iPlayer into thinking your WM device is a Wii? :(

It works fine on my iPod Touch, so no reason why it shouldn't be made to work on a WM device.
Guest pd.ryder
BBC iPlayer isn't only downloads - it streams too. I have already emailed iPlayer's tech department about having provided iPhone player / software whilst ignoring us WM users. They haven't replied, so they must just not like WM users (or maybe its just me :D ) :(
Guest FryWalker
Hi - anyone know if the BBC iPlayer is available on WinMo? This application should do the trick for the HTC Kaiser (TyTN II). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501131 regards, -Fry
Guest JonRushton
Just a shot in the dark, but i browsed to http://m.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and there is a beta iplayer interface for mobile devices. Looks great, but when you try to play a video, it tells you to switch to WiFi. Not had chance to play to see if its possible to stream over 3G yet though. When I tried on my TP2 I got a "device not supported" error, but I saw this link in XDA http://blog.artesea.co.uk/2008/11/bbc-ipla...-touch-pro.html and all is good ;) Gordon
