Rubber Memory Card Protector Problems?

A similar thing happened on the E650 (HTC S710) and with that on the USB port cover, it was easier to remove from the phone than to try and resolve. While it's not happened on my Touch Dual (yet!) my first impression when I got it was that this cover was better then the one on the E650 (Which took 8 months to start bulging on my second unit). There may not be much that can be done for the cover, but if the memory card is not coming out there may well be a fault with the socket so may be worth taking back to see what can be done warrenty wise (May also get that cover sorted out too).

Out of curiosity, do you swap the memory card out a lot? Constantly opening and closing the cover will distort it slightly and cause it not to fit. They are really designed to be closed and left that way, but st least you no longer have to remove the battery to swap memory cards (Ala SPV C500, C550, C600)
