Guest Paul (MVP)
I get bothered by silly little things. The missus says it's ridiculous I have to have the things on my desk lined up in parallel (for example) when (she claims) I am something of a messy person. What can I say? It's an illness :( I'm not rambling on for nothing (for once), this leads me on to a long lasting annoyance on my devices... LOCALISATION! I live in the UK. I buy a UK device. From the UK. Maybe even from a UK network. I start using it... AND ALL THE DIALOGUES / MENUS are in American! ARGH! What's that all about? I have a sneaky suspicion it's because Microsoft don't make a UK English language pack available for Pocket PC (unlike Smartphone), but now i've got a shiny new HT CDiamond with the same problem... I figured it's time to do something about it :o Introducing... the 'Diamond UK Localization Project'. First - don't turn off if you have another 6.1 device that isn't a diamond! Altho I am developing and testing for my Diamond, the resources are likely shared with other 6.1 devices, so you may well want to give the installer a try. Version 1.0 of the installer is available in CAB form here, and will revert all those nasty 'favorites' to 'favourites'! It's likely this is just the tip of the iceberg, so i'm calling on fellow Diamond owners to spot US English spellings and report them in this topic so that I can edit the resources. Updates will be deployed via AppToDate (of course). Good idea? :D P

Guest l3v5y
Oh - 6.1 only :-( I still have not plucked up the courage to "6.1" my Kaiser! Good idea nevertheless I'm guesing any changes could be ported back... (if the changes are done through MUIs, they are themselves not backward compatable, but the same changes can be made elsewhere). I hate American spellings! Who's for some cockney rhyming slang built into the devices? :D :(
