i was just wondering if anyone else uses/used this battery status program and how to install different themes.

Themes for Windows Mobile Professional (aka Pocket PC) are generally in TSK files
If you Google for them you should fins hundreds.  My personal favourite is the dark grey "HTC Default" that comes with the Touch


Battery Status has a Today screen plugin, which can show info like Operator, battery status (strangely enough!) etc
The best feature of it though is that you can overclock your device to make it run faster.  It uses battery faster, but I thought it was worth doing.  I think I had mine on 286 or 287 MHz.

If performance for your device is an issue you should also consider:
removing unwanted apps from \Windows\StartUp
doing the 4Mb Page Pool "tweak" (it's a major tweak!) - search this site for details
