id like to use *.ico files to replace the default folder icon, and/or have hidden in the folder to atleast have icons in the start menu match the theme.

any help would be great, even replacing other default icons

Unfortunatly, the .lnk files in Wm6 have imbedded images, unlike in Wm5 where there were two seperate files. =\

My only sugestion is recreating the .lnk file entirely on your pc. You would have to find the right program, but that would allow you to make a custom icon. :(

try google searching "freeware download icon create .lnk"

(or somthing along those lines)

Good Luck :D

Actually, if you follow this link, I explain how you can change program and folder icons. The LNK files do not have embedded icons, they simply point to a library file. But this information was around long ago, so i take no credit. This is how I changed mine though.
