Manually turning GPS on ?

I previously had SportsDo running on my o2 Mini S connected to a bluetooth gps antenna.

With the Diamond it fails to find the GPS unless it's already running for something else, in my case TomTom.

It scans through the ports in the phone but then just displays "failed to find GPS".

There's a post on the SportsDo forums about it, but no response as yet.

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to turn GPS on without starting TomTom ?

The GPS receiver in all the WM devices turns on in response to a call on its COM port, so the only way to manually turn it on is to open some sort of GPS aware application.

TomTom probably a bit big for that, but maybe something like NoniGPS would do it?

[Edit: Or try GPSInfo which is a very small program which gives a graphical readout of your satellite status. Set for COM4 and 4800Bd. This works fine on my Diamond though it has problems with some devices.
