I just got my omnia this morning and when I go on camera it says:

Not enough video memory. Please cloese other applications and try again.

I have only used a couple of applications so how can I sort this out?

Hello

When you tap the little "x" in the top right corner, Windows Mobile does not close the program it just hides it from you. Open several and the device will run out of memory. The camera app needs about 5mb to run. What you need to do is get a task manager which actually closes the program and reclaims the memory. There are commercial programs that you buy and free versions. A good start is Magic Button from Transcreative. Do a google to find it and then download it. It comes as an .exe or a .cab file. An .exe you install from your PC whilst your device is connected, a .cab file you copy over to your device, find it on the device and tap it to run it.

May I suggest you download the user manual from the Samsung Mobile site. Its a bit short on detail but a good place to start. Also search these forums and others before you ask a question, someone has usually asked it already!

Good luck!

Hmmm. How much memory is being used? Go to start>settings>system>Memory. What do you have free in Storage / Memory? Have you installed any other programs yet? Apart from some programs which insist on being in main memory it's best to put them in MyStorage or on the Storage Card. Have you copied any photo's over or music?

You have all your memory in use! You must have put some programs or files into main memory. Look in the folders in Main Memory - Main Memory has My Documents, My Music etc. You have to be very careful where you put stuff. Do a bit of pruning and free some memory. It can become a bit of an art. Again, if you are a Windows Mobile Newbie - look at all the popular forums for help.

Right at the moment Ive put things in start > programs > tools > file explorer > and then the various folders such as my music

should I have put them somewhere else? Thanks for the help

Never mind, worked out how to do it. Thanks again.
