Hi, obviously I am new to this forum with my new Omnia!
I have I1 with H4 PDA and it is no different than H1/H1, anyway, how do I check the battery level (without installing any additional software or playing around with registry or anything) in percentage? any figure whether increments of 10 or 1. When I tap on the battery icon on the today it only shows the default power settings screen with the green bar in it. Thanks in advance to all the great members of Modaco, and sorry for my english.
Today default Battery gauge

There is not a simple onboard way to check the battery unless Samsung have an application installed.
What I use is Batti which is an excellent, easy to use and best of all free application.

I am not even getting the 10%! it is only the icon on the today screen, or the green bar in the power settings window! how do I read the 10% step even? can someone guide me? or default Omnia does not have digits with battery power gauge?
I've used batti...i've set it to show on top of the regular samsung widget today screen...at least reasonably better than samsung default...set height to at least 6 so it is noticeable at the top...

What I have noticed is that the battery level fluctuates considerably... if I have 60%, and reset the device, I may get 80% for a while, and then later it drops again to 60%. It seems as well that often it drops in steps of 20% even...
I can see that with Batti or with other level meters like the one you have in PhoneAlarm.

Same here... running on the t-mobile rom.
I can't work out if the battery life is any good... it seems to drop suddenly and then stay at the new level for ages and ages...

Exactly... that is what I forgot to mention.
Does anyone have a more linear behaviour of the battery level indication?

To be honest, the uncertainty over the battery life is driving me pretty close to ebaying my Omnia.
What does anyone else think about battery life....

I used to have the same battery problem in past, then i downgraded the rom to DXHG4, use it for few days and found out the battery consumption is good, so i slowly upgrade to H1, hard reset 2 times per upgrade, then finally to H3 and did the same hard reset again.
now at least i'm happy with my battery, on standby with about 2-3 short call a day, plus a bit of GPS navigating, plus a bit of playaround with the phone, it drops only 10% in every 1 1/2 day. if it continue to behave this way, i guess my fullcharge battery will last for about 13-18 days on standby

I've just bought this phone and am seeing the same problems.
Settings\Power is showing the battery life in a progress bar but no actual value as to how much battery is remaining (My old MDA Compact III shows this value).
Also, am using spb mobile shell which shows the battery level as a percentage but is only showing increases and decreases as multiples of 10% (old phone used to decrease in steps of 1%).
At 10%, my old phone had a good amount of time left before it ran out of juice. This phone ran out of battery on me when it showed 10%. I can't rely on this phones battery status.
Does anyone know how to modify the phone to display the true percentage battery status in the WM6.1 Power Screen and alter the steps from 10% to 1%?
Love the phone, but this battery issue is a real downer
Additional:
ROM:
PDA: i900XXHH7/BOHH5
PHONE: i900BOHH2
Are there any known issues with this ROM?
