Hi there,
I was wondering if it is a good idea to always charge the battery from the usb.
is it the same ampere/voltage etc as the wall charger? does it take the same amount of time to charge from the usb?
will it ruin the battery over time?

this also goes for the samsungs original car charger. since navigation uses lots of battery i hook it up to the car charger. would this kill the battery sooner?

Generally mains charging will always be better and faster as it is a dedicated supply.
USB is generally 500mA and most chargers are 1A.
Going by a lot of posts here USB charging is very slow with the Omnia but that could be down to the actual PC.
I mainly use USB to charge my devices and only ever use the mains charger when I am at work.
