Hello peeps, when it comes to my phone I want the apps I use to be easily available and where I want them, so I've been looking at a couple of shells to help me get to menu eutopia. I've tried SPB Mobile Shell and although it looks ok it doesnt load automatically on my Omnia, rather it is accessed via a softkey on the right, which kinda defeats the object really (oh I'm running HG5, too scared to flash yet). I also tried the WinterFace which was visually stunning but kept crashing the device.

So I was just wondering what you guys use or suggest so I can have the apps I want on one screen along with a bigger version of the "4 fave ppl" widget thingy.

Cheers in advance ;)

I'd stick with Spb and use Spbwatcher (link below), that switch to spb menu every time the today screen tries to pop up. You still see a quick flash of the today screen but nothing too annoying.

I tried them all, even those that didn't work on the Omnia's QVGA screen.

None of them worked that well for me, especially things like iFonz and Manilla 2D which only try to mimic other platforms.

I finally just settled with the Samsung Today 2 setting. It doesn't look as slick as some others, but it's very useful, especially because of the shortcuts it offers you to WiFi, Bluetooth, optical mouse, motion sensor etc. I customized the shortcuts in Main Menu and mapped a few important apps to the hardware buttons and it's really easy to load up everything now.

I've done exactly the same since the beginning... I just wish the time segment of the screen was a bit smaller, so that I had more free space at the bottom to show my next appointments (using Calendar+ for that).
