Hello friends, switching over from a HTC Touch Cruise to Omnia. I find the SMS forwarding to be a pain since it always loads the e-mail UI which disables the Auto Contact look up and also leave a Forwarded from signature at the bottom of every message.

Is there a way to turn this off and have the normal UI as seen on HTC.

Thanks!

Just highlight (not select) the text you want to forward and then reply. Should have option to forward then.

I get that part right. But once the Forward screen appears, the interface is of an e-mail client rather than the interface you get while composing a New SMS.

The latest Custom ROM by Paul.

1). Select SMS > Click Foward > here I see To: Subject: etc.

Ok i scroll down to the text I want to forward with the optical mouse thingy (dont press it with finger) then hit menu on bottom right, then reply and then select forward.

Works fine.

I´m not sure if i understand everything right, but i think his problem is that he doesn´t get a sms UI to forward.

If i´m correct, the answer is simple. The Omnia make no differents between sms, email and mms.  If you insert a picture, the omnia turns automatic into email and mms mode. So the UI for all types of messages are the same.

hope i could help

Yes, you have understood me absolutely correct. Is there a way to change this via registry or an custom addon etc?

yeah would love a better way to send texts, an SMS screen shouldnt have Bcc: & Cc: and when you put in your To: it doesnt auto jump to insert your message, it does the opposite and does to the top which means having to scroll down, so annoying!
