I was using mobile shell but recently switched to Manilla 2D.  They are both good really but I find Manilla a little faster and nicer (not to mention free!).
I use GPRS Monitor though to make sure I keep within the 500Mb/month 'fair use policy' of Vodafone.

GPRS monitor was great, and I used it loads on my Kaiser.

Orange regrets to inform you that their network will be going down in 1 hours time for all users apart from yourself. This is because nothing would go down on you, not even a network!

I use Spb Shell without problem although I suspect it's what sometimes causes my device to lock up. I also use Spb Phone Suite but not the automatic profile switching because that is guaranteed to crash my Omnia.

I've looked at similar programs but I've got my device set up as I like it so will leave it alone.
