What I found so far everything works fine until I get to the audio player is stuck there forever is searching but is freezing there and I have to reset to get out. I love the speed but this really freak me out.
I have to go back to my previous ROM. Thank you for the help I get here.

I have no problem with the audio player. Maybe try to hard reset and reflash again?

I have upload this in rapidshare: http://rapidshare.co...eather.rar.html

A small contribution for the MD2 weather. All credits goes to Beyond Invisible http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=402124

Edit the HTCHomeSettings.xml to replace this line:

Optional:

1. To remove the weather description, replace this:

<!--
2. To lower the city name down, replace this:

3. To delete the half separator line (above the weather description), replace this:
<!--

perfect work man
but why on the desktop always alarm off ?the alarm is on and work :D
cheers

I don't really understand, but if you're using the Samsung World Clock/Alarm, like I do, the alarm will not show up on the main page as M2D reads from the windows clock/alarm settings.

nice firmware pls update the opera and add the menu luncher.
if I let attitudes of samsung the side for wap Internet send, I do not get the message it me everything adjust to surf. is that an error?

secany has passed me the latest DTHJ6 version with more updates and fixes, will build it with the next version. Another reason why I did not install the new Opera Official Beta is that it does not support Activex, and hence will not support FlashLite3.1.

Make sure you select "Automatically detect settings" under the Connections settings in Opera to surf the net.

Is this forum to help each other ? or just to show what smart asses you are. I subscribe to others forums and I get help when I need-it but here I read a lot of treads and you just ignore others who need help. This forum is just for those who knows everything if it so I have to go because I don't know that much.

Thanks for all the comments especially to sector for helping out, I'm sorry I couldn't reply any faster, don't forget about the time difference georo ;) About the audio manager problem, anyone else have that problem? How many songs do you have? It searches very quickly on mine...

Like the work I've done for you?

Then I would really appreciate it if you could help me out.

It will encourage me further and of course produce better work.

Hey great job!!!

Please, as many others here have requested, could you srap the magic button and total commander. Let us choose what we like to use, as its very different.

Thanks

Will anyone update the plain jane DTHJ6 with no customazations? like the non custom firmware file?

it would be great if someone could.

I test this rom, good work PassOa, Personally i am not a fan of manila, i kind of like the samsung today screens 1.

but awesome work.

I personally use phonealarm and ultimatelaunch so i have no need for the manilla. It would be good to have the plain rom with just the ability to work with flashlite 3.1 in opera.

I think Paul's coming version will be with FL3.1 and his version is definitely cleaner than mine, with M2D. Reason why I cooked this is there are many steps to install and customise M2D on the Omnia and it takes up quite alot of memory. So this simplifies the process for those looking for M2D on their Omnia.

If you do not need magic button, you can use file explorer, go to \windows\startup and delete the "magic button.lnk" file. Soft reset the device and magic button will not load.

Hey PaSSoA GREAT JOB! I'm very happy with your rom, exactly what I was looking for!! Mean, lean and Manilla2d fully pre-configured.. Flashed it on mine and my wife's and working like a charm! Thanx a lot!! I'm sure it was a lot of work and fiddling around..

Is there any chance of a explanation on what needs editing within htchomesettings.xml in order to enable other skins? many thanks

By the way.. The background for the (not so good looking) communications settings is in /Windows/L_bg.png.. My suggestion is to reflect that to the neutral white theme within manilla (like the back of Audio Manager)? I cannot change the L_bg.png myself, because of the fact that's in rom.

Also.. Maybe it's an idea to use I-Contact instead of the regular contacts? This way I-Contact can be used to add people to the dialer tab. The white theme of I-Contact matches white manilla parts again.. If you set "show taskbar" it intergrates very well! It takes about 260k... It should set itself as the default contacts if not:

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS
Change "String 1" value from :MSPOUTLOOK contacts to \Windows\icontact.exe

Use the following settings (icontact config) to integrate is perfect:
Skin: White
Show System Taskbar
Exit on Minimize on
Exit on Action on

Looks very cool within manilla (use QVGA Version)!

I'm not too sure about that, is there a polish ROM out? The language settings should be in the csc files.

I'm not really an expert in modifying M2D, I too just followed instructions from the M2D customisation thread :D But I think the main things to change are the TabWidget and WeatherWidget

Glad you and your wife like the ROM, it was alot of work getting everything to work. I will look into the suggestions for the next version with the latest DTHJ6 build. Give me a few days

no customazations for the rest of us to use, and maybe even try to cook ourselves?

Found another one that integrates nicely with the whole manila look and feel.. TouchLauncher.. It replaces the "All Programs" application with a nice finger friendly and fast application launcher. After ripping all the skins and icon packs (can install them later if you like it) it only takes about 108Kb.. It is really an nice asset to the ROM besides I-Contact I think!

If you strip all themes and icon-packs, you can do with the "simplewhite" themes where you replace all 268 with 348 (to adjust to omnia's height).. It takes the icons from the default ones so it still looks nice. It also has an option to replace folderview.exe which makes it the default program browser (and intergrate with manilla).

I second this (BTW EXCELLENT WORK!!!!!! ;)  :P ). I just want to update the NET Con fig and Flash lite and keep rolling. I have extracted the J1 and J5 ROM's but too chicken to try to remove and replace things without clear instructions   :D . Of course a very clean with cabs and the Flash Lite and NET Con fig pre-done would be welcome too :P  :o

One problem ive noticed this morning while on the way to work

I use a bluetooth headset and while playing music and putting the phone to sleep?!? locking or just pressing power button on top after a few moments "sometimes" the audio cuts out. this is using the audio manager thing.
