Wifi will connect but not automatically

Hi

I have a WM6.1 O2 mini S (QTek 9100) the Wifi notification always displays my Wifi and my neighbours (unlocked) wifi network, but I always have to manually connect to the network. I have other PDA/SmartPhone devices which do automatically connect but I am not sure why...please help, any ideas welcome  :lol:
