I just tried these settings and when I run Garmin XT it crashes the phone immediately. Am I missing something?

Running TomTom 7.19 and with this registry fix is works! I chose the built-in gps in TomTom and under 10 seconds it has a perfect steady fix on at least 6 - 8 sats. Thanks!!

Same thing here!! :D

UPDATE
I think I found the solution.

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\Drivers\Samsung GPS Hardware\SleepOnNoData: set from 100 to 0 <-shouldn't be 0 I put 5 myself and Garmin XT works like a charm now

THANK YOU A LOT JUNOMAN, MY NAVIGATION WORKS IN SECONDS EVEN INDOORS NOW WHICH WAS UNTHINKABLE BEFORE

4.  Select 'Other NMEA GPS receiver'
5.  Set baud rate to 4800

Works for me thanks,

But don't know why people rave about tomtom, iGO8 is so better in every way

Seems after running it the first time and then exiting from it, I get a low memory error, and I then have to soft reset the phone before I can get it to work again :/

You guys should go to the original post (#37) and check the links for explanation (it's in German, but you should be able to understand the GPS settings):
