Simore Dual SIM Card

I got a Simore Black 1 dual SIM card for my Omnia. My work SIM card is locked from GPRS/3G but they have supplied me with a 3G express card with 3G SIM.

When I switch SIM in the software from Work SIM to 3G SIM my Omnia does not then recognise the sim.

Works fine in SE 990i & Samsung G600???

Is it WinMo the problem? Anyone got any ideas please?

I use Simore Gold on Omnia and it works just fine.

You should disable 3G band in Phone Settings, so it will work via 2G SIM emulation. Dual sims has no support for 3G sim application emulation.

If this is a 3G-only card (USIM), like one from 3 network, it won't work with any dual sim at all.

I asked them about the possibility and this is the answer:

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your message.

To answer to your question, we inform you that the Samsung SGH-i900-Omnia is compatible with our Simore Type 1 (Black, Silver and Gold).

Type 1 Dual SIM Card smart card system presents the advantage to be universal.

Our Simore cutting solution is reversible, we provide in the pack 2 recovery slots allowing you to restore your SIM cards to their original regular size and easily reintroduce them in 2 phones without inconvenience. (see video in the link below)

Your choice between the different models (Black Silver and Gold) will depend on the Options that you are looking for.

To help you in your choice, please see our products comparison files (link

With our best regards

Yes, what they dont mention that it will work in 2G emulation mode only, without 3G support. Omnia will even see 3G coverage, but you will not be able to make calls using WCDMA, it will just abort it on call, so to make it work in 3G-covered areas you'll have to disable WCDMA band in phone settings.

It should not matter what edition is it, Black, Silver or Gold, they only have minor differences in features (like voiceip autodial etc).

There are no dualSIMs on the market that support 3G SIM app protocol, if I remember correctly, because its much more secure.

The sim card from 3 will not work with any dual sim, because they have no 2G emulation.

I tried the SIMORE Platinum. Big mistake! Having cut my card to pieces (you have to cut all surplus plastic off your SIM card, leaving just the gold contact area) I found that once mounted on the Simore unit it was still too fat to fit into my Blackberry 9000 Bold. Having struggled to get it in, the phone reported no SIM card installed. I removed and checked the contacts, switched the two SIMs and even tried in another mobile. Nothing worked. Simore took two days to reply to my request for help. They have been useless! Their last suggestion was to sandpaper the SIM cards for better contact. At that point I decided enough was enough and asked them to replace the unit or issue a full refund. Their reply: no to both because they would not be able to sell the Simore to anyone else.

Be warned – use this company/product at your peril. Remember, you effectively destroy your SIM cards in the process.

I second that, bought 2 of them, one for me one for her, couldn't get either to work in 3 different phones and many many attempts to re try re set the cut sims etc complete waist of money. Not even going to bother contacting Simore as i can guess what the answer will be from previous posts!!!!

Just moved to Switzerland, thought buying from a Swiss based company you think it would be a good reliable product, in the best swiss way of doing things, seems not the case with Simore!! letting the Swiss down!!! stay away!!!
