Guest Anfloyd
I know I've posted this topic before but this problem is really doing my swede in so absolutely any help would be greatly appreciated. I have two email accounts set up on my HD, a Hotmail account and my main account from my ISP - BTinternet.com. The Hotmail acc is fine. When a message is received I get the sound alert, vibration, and the little green number marker on the manila tab. With my BT account I get nothing. It's set up the same in sounds and notifications but I get nothing! Not even the indicator on the tab. When I go to my inbox the emails are there all opened as read. Please! Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
Guest Kaaeed
Hi Anfloyd Nothing comes to mind specifically but you may try deleting your hotmail and BT accounts and then set up the BT account just on its own. My only other thought is the IMAP / POP3 setting have you set that up appropriately? Then once / if the BT is working correctly you may want to try adding back your hotmail account. Best wishes Kaaeed

Best wishes Kaaeed Thanks for your suggestion. I've actually managed to sort it out now though. It seems that when I let the HD configure the email settings automatically, it was using IMAP settings. These can be used - something to do with BT using Yahoo mail. I changed the settings manually to POP3 and everything worked fine. Cheers.
