Is the Xperia X1a still coming to AT&T?

I know that the Xperia X1a is coming to the USA on Novemeber 28th as an unlocked phone, but is it still coming to AT&T also and if so when? And I've never bought an unlocked phone before, what are some typical advantages/disadvantages when compared to a carrier-locked phone?
