Then join the ranks of flash addicts! People that must flash every ROM that comes out, and end up flashing at least 2X a week :)

Screw aGPS, I get a lock in <2 minutes 95% of the time, even from a cold start and moving! That's good enough for me <_<

lol.. yeap that pretty much sums it up!

Just took a trip ~350 miles away.  After I was there a day, I tried using the GPS in my Omnia.... no go for more than 20mins.  Gave up.

Came back home, and the GPS locked in about 2 mins.

you have to go into Phone settings and enable the Location On option under services>GPS. Then you run google maps or whatever set it to Com8 57600 baud and go outside with a clear view of the sky and wait for it to get a lock, could take a while for the first lock.

Two more weeks until the end of the month, and Verizon still hasnt released the update. Looks like my prediction of June 30 11:59pm might be true!

yeah it isn't accurate within more than a few meters (yards). But now that you have gotten that initial lock any subsequent lock should be faster if you use it regularly.

More publicity from empty promises... It's the Verizon's MO... Who was the one who complained about the iPhone again?

How much longer did he say we'll wait for the official firmware release?

The Apocalypse?

Keep waiting...

"We never stop working for you!"

received this today.

Darma,

I am not the product manager for the Omnia, but I am told that there will be a software release as early as next week.

I hope that this helps.
