Possible to disable panels completely?

The X1a comes out here tomorrow, and it's a real tossup between that and the HTC Fuze (Touch Pro) for me.

The real clincher will be if I can completely disable the panel interface and use the traditional Windows Mobile Pro interface, as I know I can disable TouchFLO on the Fuze.

Is this possible? If so, is it a simple ordeal?

You can still use the windows mobile panel and the standard UI for the phone. just a case of not changing the panel.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to disable it?

There's not much use for it on my end, and it seems like it'd be just sitting there using resources.

EDIT: I just ordered one, but it appears nobody's actually received their stock yet. J&R (who I ordered from) still lists it as a preorder, and Best Buy says it's backordered, with no stores in several cities I checked showing it in stock.
