I notice the Windows Media Player sound is somewhat to much bass for my liking. However, there is no where that I can modify the sound settings. Is there a way to change the sound settings via registry?

Thx in advance.

Are you talking about when playing through either earphones or a bluetooth connection.  I had the same problem, and almost switched to a different media player.  Go to Settings/Audio Enhancement.  I found turning of the Spatial Audio gave me normal sounding music, but there are some bass settings there too.
