Guest rand Posted January 17, 2009 Report Share Posted January 17, 2009 Hi All, I have seen a lot of people talking about getting tomtom 7 to work but i have looked here and XDA Developers and cannot find any install file. I bought the maps but i might have an issue as TomTom say that you can only change the registered device for the maps every 6 months... thats wrong.. why i bought the maps why can i not use them on any device i own? any help would be greatly apprciated... it might mean that i do not sell my Diamond until i can get a sat nav working on my HD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Downloaded loads of TT7 versions and the only one that worked was ttn7.910.9185 vga black. (the qvga version did not work for me) TomTom home (version1.5) recognized my device as a Blackstone - offered a free map of my home city to try. I trialed and it worked fine. Again via TomTom home I went to their online shop and selected maps for TT7. Purchased Western Europe plus postcodes for £39.95 - took an age to download - copied to my device and it runs perfectly.
