HELLLPPPP!!! What now!??


I have just trying install the DXHK3....


This is the logfile.. The phone is still connected i haven't disconnect..

Did you install the samsung modem driver before installation?

Yes, and i use an XP os

I was able to.
My error was same as yours (although mine was cos I hadn't installed driver).

Think I read on taril's thread that someone put the cable into another usb port on their pc, and started again and it worked... you could also try re-install of the modem driver.

My phone don't turn off.. I had give him a reset at the top and he restarts but cant load the software.. I will try it in another USB-port and hope that he works!

Good luck mate .... let us know how you get on.

one last thing to try... make sure you have the lastest modem driver version (i don't even know if there are multiple versions )

anyway, mine is 4.34

Don't freak out, that's normal. When you flash for the first time, your PC will try to look for the modem but the updater is too inpatient and will say that it failed without completing everything.

When you look at your version now, you'll see that the PDA version changed, but the phone version didn't.

Flash again, and It will update your phone as well. This time successful.

Sometimes if you have extra USB peripherals plugged in it will confuse the software.  Try rebooting computer and have only phone plugged in and flash again.  If that fails, try GrandPrix.

Yes that hits. After a reset he functionaly normally and as you says is modified only the pda version. I will retry flashes it tonight. And than with the same version that "fail" right?

Hey Kev,

I give him 2 resets and its still works After first boot they give an error on screen. After reboot works fine. Read the post from MrJoneswii.

I had disconnect all peripherals.

Yes, flash again with the same rom.

Also, every time you flash from the same PC from now on, you'll be able to do it without a failing "phone" message.

Thanks, I followed your advice and re-flashed rom and also re-installed the modem drivers from this page (already had installed it b4 though) and it worked! Fully installed!
