I have downloaded this .exe file

i900DZIA5_updater_vista

from the Samsung mobile website.

i read somewhere that for australian users to download and install the singapore version,
can someone confirm this and what do i do when i try to run this updater and it comes up with the notification "incorrect software version"

i currently have the MBHJ3 version on my phone which is the orriginal untouched one from new.

i don't have XP, i only have Vista.

It can't be this hard to update my ROM.

i've set my phone to Singapore, it still comes up with the incorrect software version notification.

I've also tried to find Adobe lite 3.1 and the closest i got was Adobe lite 2.1 which appears to now be 2 years old.

i am very new to this, ( i don't have a lot of knowledge yet ) but do have some basic knowledge as i managed to get TTN7 with GPSgate working before i did the hard reset to update the rom

I suggest you read this (again) carefully and if it seems to be too complicated, leave it.

You don't need to have XP, Vista users just omit step number three and hex edit file i900XXXXX_updater_vista.exe.

And it is really up to you whether you use DX or DZ. If i remember correctly the only difference is Chinese input support which is included in DZ.
