Hello, anyone? :D

its got a res. of 1024 by 600. You can increase it to the std. 1024 by 768 but then it goes into this strnge mode, where the screen shifts up and down depending upon the mouse location, essentially, it still displays only600 pixels vertically and the additional pixels (either from the top or bottom) remain hidden.

Anyway, there are no settings for getting resolutions any higher than this on the s10's screen, however you can connect an external display or projector and you can res. as high as 1280 by 1024.

The Lenovo S10 has a resolution of 1024x600

The Lenovo S10e has a resolution of 1024x576

I believe Lenovo's reason is that 1024x576 is widescreen without black bars above and below the display, so playing widescreen TV content is very slightly nicer, the downside is you've got 24 less pixels for you applications... Either way, it's a lovely little netbook, I'm not complaining.

There is no way of getting more resolution, at best you may be able to get it to scale so that things look smaller, but it will just do this by dropping pixels.

For instance, if you are running OS X you can do

'defaults write AppleDisplayScaleFactor 0.8' (or some other factor) and things will look smaller, but it just clips pixels out of the image to fit it in.

Hello :) ,

to first, sorry for bad english, i`m German Boy! Ok, the screen ist regular 1024*576, thats right. A very usefull Tool ist the Netbook_Resolution_Customizer that can scale the Screen to 1024*768 and many more.

I has testet with Cisco VPN-Client and is very cool!

Second Tip is the Microsoft Zune Desktop Theme thats Optimized the Screen.

Google the Tools and you are sucessful!

Bye the Next
