I want a way to text back and forth with people on Vista.  There was some sort of program that was a plugin for Outlook that did exactly what I wanted, but it doesn't seem to work in Vista.  I used it back in XP.

Basically, when I'm home, I want to be able to text with a full-sized keyboard....that's really the only requirement.  Any ideas?

if youve got a gmail account there is a google labs feature in gmail that turns the chat feature into a two way sms client also.

I think that's the one I tried....that doesn't work in Vista for me for some reason.  It'll run, but it won't DO anything.  It's really weird.

i only use it to back up and restore contacts... i know it does that on vista

It's supposed to be able to SMS on Vista too...but nothing works for me for some reason
