hi all, want to upgrade my samsung omnia ROM to a version from a different country (Singapore). Have edited the current firmware version in the registry and used hex edit to change the updater, per instructions at the following link
http://www.pspmyspac...sion-fixed.html

The updater verifies my current firmware, but then gives the following message:

"Image upgrade failed, please manually reset the device and execute the program again."

hope someone can help. The following is the only other reference I can find to this problem.

Now this is interesting as ..

I flashed to DZIA5 from DXHJ1 the other day to see if there was a massive improvement in my battery life. However,

Whilst flashing it got to the stage where it said it was copying Image 5 and then froze! After about 15mins still nothing had happened so fearing that I had bricked my phone I unplugged it from my laptop and managed to get it to boot up. However it is now stuck in the following:

PDA: i900DXIA5/DZIA5
Phone: i900DXHJI

Anyone any ideas? Not sure why it froze or whats happened. How can i correct it though or is the above setting now correct?

Thanks in advance

Try rebooting  Your  Pc, and if You Cant Even Get To The Welcome Head.png Boot Screen Then Keep Takin The Battery Out Hold

Can't Brick The i900 if It's Already Been Bricked (JK)
