my igo8    8.3.2.83157  gives me  an "low program memory" pop-up and asks me which programs i want to close (phone, active sync,...)
And when i close something it asks me the same thing again every couple of miles.

Could someone help me, please??

What other apps do you have running with it? If you run it, see if you can pop-up a task manager or some app to monitor your memory usage, it sounds like you have to much running at once, or maybe you have an app bleeding memory more and more as it runs.

igo8 is a memory hog imo! I stopped using it because of that! Couldn't run my music and igo8 simultaneously via bluetooth in my car without it constantly cocking up! I now use CoPilot 7 HD

Are you using 3G Buildings in iGO? If you do then turn it Off. It will free up a lot of memory. Otherwise you will need to close something else or start using another gps program, since, as jonboyuk mentioned, iGO eats a lot of memory.

thank s for the help. I will let you know if it works.

As syrguy1969 asked me for running programs. I always close the programs when i dont need them. So that there are none programs that would eat up the memory. And that´s why the pop-up screen gives me only some basic aplications that i can close. (s2u2, actice sync, phone-3 times, messaging).  By the way i never had these problems with older versions, so could this be a bug of the 8.3.2.83157 version?

I'm afraid all GPS apps, (in my experience anyway), always make the phone go hot. They usually promote the screen to always be on and the GPS chip uses a lot of power to get going.

You must be really running low on memory. I have an old Hermes and I can run IGo8 with 22Mb free. I have to set 3d building to close and just use a normal voice not tts b ut it works fine.

I have an even older Magician with a custom striped down rom which has 39Mb free and I can run IG08 with 3d buildings and tts.

Do a google for running IGo with low memory as there are some command you can add o the sys.txt but I wouldn’t switch from IGo

Giffgaff the network run by you
