It is probally here because this is the best forum for Omnia. I recal it said some kind of mother board situation in the case. Does anybody know what I am talking about? TIA

Get a pencil eraser. Take the battery out and scrub the contacts on the battery and on the phone with the eraser. Put it back together, there's a good chance this will work for you. If it doesn't there is something loose inside the phone and you will probably have to get it replaced.

My Omnia has this problem.  The battery housing is slightly larger than the actual battery.  I took a small piece of paper and folded it a few times and forced the battery back into the phone so it was nice and snug.

My buddy has s i900 with this same problem. I have the i910 and all is well.

I fixed his with the paper wedge and it has been working fine for 2 weeks now.

Not sure how you wedged in the paper but it shouldn't cause additional heat.
