Guest level140
Why would you want to? Because I only unlocked it to get the gps. There's a chance I'll find a rom I really like, but none of them look stable enough for my use currently.

There's a chance I'll find a rom I really like, but none of them look stable enough for my use currently. I've found most of the ROM's(Wozzers, Adryn's, BGil's and now BW's) I've used stable. If the update provides an improved radio or other hardware features then I suspect the chefs will cook with the update anyway. Either way we win. Guest necosino
before I flashed last (To test on the Win7 RTM) I didn't reset my phone for nearly 3 weeks! If that's not stable enough for you, idk what is.. (Using Adryn's base ROM)
Guest level140
Oh, and with the flash, it won't let me install compact .net 3.5? I did the correct installation, but it won't install to my phone... Has anyone else had this problem?

The cooked ROMs are more stable than anything Verizon has put out whether official or not.
Guest klinc
Your kidding right? The cooked ROMs are more stable than anything Verizon has put out whether official or not. I have lockup problems with most of the roms(spare me the "I dont know what I'm doing speech"). I have the standard CC20 now and have no problems other than the weather widget not working often. Also, the current roms have entirely to much stuff striped out of them. I liked Wozzer's standard rom with 6.5 added to it, but still had issues here and there. Unfortunately, he isn't updating anymore. Maybe one day when I have time I will make my own. So, yes, there are people out there that will install this standard rom from Samsung/Verizon. So, yes, there are people out there that will install this standard rom from Samsung/Verizon. I agree. I appreciate people putting cooked roms out there for free for people to use. Personally, my major reasons for staying away from them are 1) All of the intros and advertisements about the cooker that plague the majority of them (but not all, ie Wozzer) 2) And the bugs/lockups that occur out of nowhere. There is also the fact that I think that there are some that release things without testing, which causes people to have to constantly reflash. I realize that even official ROMS have some bugs, but they are better tested and vetted, IMO. Like I said, no disrespect. I'm sure many others really like the cool custom animations, renaming the start menu after the ROM, and crazy service icons, but I personally don't. I'll be with C220 until the official comes out (if it ever does! lol). To each his own.

I know there is no issues like this on my ROMs. As for programs being removed your right. Most of the crapware has been removed. You can certainly add it back in though. We have what is called a kitchen. Adrynalyne made one available for our phones over on ppcgeeks.com. Everyone does something a bit different when making their ROMs but the base tools are the same.
