Phone for travelling

Hello all,

I am going backpacking to Australia in November and I am looking for a phone that charges via usb to mini usb and also sends/receives data via the usb (i am trying to take very few cables) Id also like it to have an alarm clock on it. unlocked all for £50 or less, I would even consider 2nd hand phones.

Anyone any ideas of what models can do this?
