Thanks, this fixed it (after manually installing busyboy in titaniumbackup) and now I have a working google maps

Cheers for the help. I've installed a Android 2.1 port from HTC Legend in the end. Runs smoothly but there is a few little bugs in it.

I just couldn't resist to try some 2.1 roms. In my opinion Villain rom was the best, but nevertheless I came back to Modaco 3.2: the speed and stability of this ROM is something I just can't live without =D So once again: thanks Paul for your great work!

I think I might come back to be fair. 7 hours after full charge and its nearly dead! But looking at some of the roms when, or should that be if, 2.1 comes out it should be pretty good.

And what is the problem, when alway after boot my hero, whit the Modaco 3.2 alwas come the forsclose warning from roise...?

Has anybody tried installing the four square app?

I've got it on but it keeps on crashing with the error:

Hi Paul, I was just wondering... In your post, you mentioned that the ROM is available in 2 cores. One with and one without Chinese Input. But as I can see, there's only 1 download link for the 3.2. I'm actually looking for the Chinese Input version. Also, would you be adding the latest Superuser 2.1 for Hero? It has support for cupcake versions, I've flashed the unsecure version and can confirm that it works. (:

I couldn't agree more. About to the exact same "downgrade". Villain is not bad, but nothing compares to MoDaCo ROM

I flashed this zip file to fix the Chinese Input. After flashing it, compose a message and click on the little "Gear" icon to enable it.

Hi all .. I just installed MCR 3.2 and i see that bluetooth file transfer is not happening. Is this a known issue or there is some problem specific to my device ?

Bluetooth file transfer is not integrated in Android 1.5 (MCR 3.2 is based on 1.5). You need to install 3rd party software or get the WIP 2.1 update.

Can anyone tell me where to download MCR3.1 from on MoDaCo? I have searched for it but cannot find the post with all the links to the various flavours of 3.1 + radio packs.

Nevermind, seems that the background-services did trigger upon time anyway, cool. Too bad I got to make an ass out of myself.

I installed the ROM and I am very pleased, except that it kills services that are supposed to be running, i.e. Remember The Milk (planner/~GTD) and other.
Is there a way to exclude tasks from being automatically killed? I currently use SystemPanel to manually close all programs if necessary.
Regarding inactive applications not running as services, I'm very pleased that the ROM-additions kill them.

PS: I have installed Autokiller and applied the preset Optimum to save services such as Remember The Milk and reverse lookup, but I'd like to know the cause of this issue, why important programs like that are killed.

I have just added MCR 3.2 and one thing I noticed is International Numbers dialling in come up as unknown, previously I could see the number and now it just comes up as a "unknown" one, anyone else having similar issues.
I havent upgraded the radio packages so am wondering if its got something todo with that,

I've been away from here for a while and have lost touch.

I want to install MCR 3.2

I'm currently on 2.9.

To save me wading through the last hundred pages or so can anyone tell me if I need to do anything other than install 3.2 over the top of 2.9? I've done a Nandroid backup but that's all; anything else I need to do?
