I have a big problem with HBOOT 1.76.0007. I need to get into fastboot mode but it doesn't work with the recovery image. Is there a way to load the recovery image on HBOOT 1.76.0007 or is there a way to get back to HBOOT 1.76.0004???

Is there anbody who knows how to solve this????

On the Hero Device you can boot into Bootloader when you shutoff the phone, hold down the "back" key (until it boots into bootloader) and press the "power on" button. then i'm able to fastboot an other recovery image (fastboot boot "filename-of-recovery-image.img")

But with HBOOT 1.76.0007 i can't boot the recovery image. And therefore i need to go back to 1.76.0004.

with flashrec you should be able to flash an recovery image and within the recovery image you should be able to update your hboot to the old one with an update.zip package

Flashrec is not working with Hero that come with HBOOT 1.76.0007 out of the box. I have tried with 4 different Hero and no luck. Is there another way to change the HBOOT back to 1.76.0004?

What I have noticed also on this Hero is that I can not flash the phone with any of the ROMs that I have found, even stock RUU, I keep getting an error that says Customer ID Error and I am not sure if this is due to the HBOOT version that I have.

I have mistake update to RUU 2.73 but I did use flashrec to flash back cm-recovery.img. After I check on Bootloader its still 1.76.0007. Still don't know how to downgrade Hboot. However I still luck to be able to flash custom rom

I have the exact same problem, I also have 2.73.707.9, I think the issue is with the kernel. I can't do anything, not even update the current build with the official. It's giving me an error Customer ID Failed.

Nothing works, flashrec, adb command gives you not allowed, bootloader gives you no permission. I have gone hopeless, I just read on another zenthoughts forum (flashrec author) , that our built isn't supported but its open source if someone wants to add it in!, I lack the skills to program it.
