HTC Mail force closes

Hi,

I've been attempting to use HTC mail with an IMAP account at work (for now via WiFi on the same network as the mail server) but after configuring the account HTC mail never automatically syncs (it's set for every 15 minutes) and when I force a refresh from the app's menu it thinks for a bit and then force closes, every time, without downloading any of my mail. Has anyone else had similar issues with HTC Mail?

I've previously been able to use HTC mail with my Gmail account via IMAP but for some reason this IMAP account causes it to fall over in a heap. It's a basic IMAP account, user name & password but no SSL/TLS, port 143, SMTP on the same server, port 25, no login and also no security. I'm using MCR 2.2e, but I don't think that should make any difference, should it? I've tried stopping HTC Mail from the Application Manager, clearing it's cache and it's data and starting from scratch several times but it makes no difference. Any ideas?
