Bolt Browser is now out of beta and available as version 1.5.

BOLT is a free downloadable browser that offers an uncompromised browsing experience on even lower-end mobile phones.

It uses server side rendering similar to Skyfire and Opera Mini, so should also be good for those without unlimited data plans.

It's always good to have more  browser options and this one is Java based so should work on most devices, and let you stream videos directly from websites!

This may be good for 'low spec' phones but it is total rubbish for the current breed of WM6 devices.

Firstly, it needs a hardware keyboard or at least a D-Pad to allow screen scrolling and a lot of the functions are only accessible by numeric keypad presses. On my TG01, I can't scroll the screen at all.

Secondly the page views it does display (at least they are proper web pages!) have some very odd fonts and font sizes.

Navigation is clunky and it all looks like stuff we were using in 2001

I tried downloading bolt in all it's versions signed , unsigned and the light versions which all failed . I'm a newbie so emailed bolt and this was their reply.

Surely the Omnia II has a Java application built-in?  If you can't even download, there maybe something wrong with your system setup.

By the looks of things, this browser is for standard cell phones (dumbphones), not for us...yet...
