TV-out cable

Hello,

does someone know, which cable I need for TV-out? I have tried 3 different 3.5mm jack-cables (to chinch (yellow, white, red)); but none of these worked. 2 of them worked, when I pulled them half out of the phone.

Did someone manage the tv-out to work on a TV? Which cable did you use?

Thanks for your help, Sven

Hmmm, I only tested it shortly but I didn't see (or hear) any problems... I'll see if I can test some more this weekend.

Cheers

According to that site it seems that the tv cable of the Samsung i8510 INNOV8 / i8910 Omnia HD / Jet S8000 is compatible with the tv out of the b7610 and even the i8000. I don't know if it is true or not somebody should try it and tell us the results...

I tried a friend of mine's original nokia n95 video cable and when you plug the cable in the device ask you which cable type you plugged (headset, tv out) if I choose tv out the video is shown in the tv but with no sound if I choose headset the sound is ok but the video no so this cable seems no to be good for the omnia b7610 :) . Do you have tried other solutions?

on the key hklm system/state/samsung/earjack you can switch from headset and tvout signal I think editing this key or others it is possible to make the device send the sound signal the right way in the nokia n95 cable...I will try...did you find other interesting keys to edit for this problem?

As I know till now there is no cable working fine with the b7610 tried n95 and omnia hd cable both display video ok but with no sound so a possibility is hacking the software to send sound to the cable in the right way but this is hard to do...almost for me :)

yes it should be the same as nokia n95, but I tried it and don't work...I don't understand why it works with your device maybe it depends on the ROM installed mine is IG5 WM 6.1 yours?

this is the cable I am using:

My ROM is the original one:

PDA: B7610XXIH2

CSC: B7610TPHIH2

Phone: B7610XXIH1

I supose you choose "Tv-out" in your phone when you insert the cable and the phone ask about it, isnt it?

right I choose tv-out, then the video is ok but no sound if I choose headphone the video don't show up but I can hear the audio in the tv...very strange situation...maybe as your rom is more recent than mine I can suppose the problem can be related to a rom's bug...is there anyone who can use the tv-out without problems?if yes could you post the rom version?

Btw, gave the N95 cable another try this weekend and it really works fine... Both video and sound.

This with the Secany 6.5 rom (but I remember it worked well with the original samsung rom as well).

Got it for cheap on ebay...

Very strange...I have the original rom. The problem can be hardware (the tv-out maybe is broken) or software. I will try the secany rom and so that I can verify if it's a software problem...

N95 cable isn't working for me neither :)

For me either it wasn't working for first time, but I tried once more with success. Try pushing this cable pretty deep - samsung's case and this plastic jack's protect collides slightly with cable's head.

Hi! I'm new in this forum and my English is not go good :) i'm sorry :)

I"ll try to explain my experience about my B7610 and tv-out. I use this cable

th_04509_B7610TV_OUTANDHEADPHONESCABLEsm_122_87lo.jpg

At first time when i plug cable it works (sound and video) :D , but after 2-3 days working only video signal... NOT SOUND :D (cable work with other devices). As you can see in the picture jack is longer than phones jack, not reason to be not enough long for the phone.

Yesterday, after 5-6 times plug in and out jack sound work, but now NOT WORKING again :) When i use this jack llike HANDSPHONE there is sound on my TV, but i need to use video signal from my DVD player. If i not connect DVD player to send signal to my TV, there is NOT SOUND , but its a TV problem(issue). Today i\ll try two different cables one of them with gold jack... so will see what happened :)

OHHH and sometthing important!!! I tried to make call when phone is plug in to TV AND SOUND WORKS i can talk and listen voice over my TV. When i play song with Touch Player not sound, but when i call to my phone just for a moment i CAN hear song, after that phone start ringing and i heat sound from my phone and TV also. So that is the reason, that i think its a WINDOWS/PDA problem!!!!!!

WOW now i tried make SKYPE call over WiFi when phone is plug on TV and my friend can HEAR ME :P , but i can't hear :( him on my TV.

Hmmm its a very strange situation?!!?!?

Origonal ROM WM6.1 ====> NEW PC STUDIO want update to this ROM WM6.5 (I'll update soon)

PDA Version - B7610XXII1 update to ====> B7610NXXIK3

CSC Version - B7610TPHI1 update to ====> B7610NTPHIK3

Phone Version - B7610XXII1 update to ====> B7610XXIK1

LAST EDIT 08.06.2010 - I tried 5 different cables!!! Same situation. All cables work PERFECT with other devices. And i check connections on my cable using Digital Multimeter and read so many posts in different forums before post my experience!

ANY IDEAS GUYS?!!?!?

th_05816_B7610TVOUTMENU_122_122lo.jpg

th_05992_TVPHONEPCsm_122_559lo.jpg

But i think this is windows(OS-PDA) problem not cable problem.

Last edit 10.06.2010. I SOLVE MY PROBLEM!!! :P JUST I UPDATE TO WM 6.5 USING Samsung New PC Studio. I knew it was WINDOWS/PDA problem, not cable problem! Just audio driver not working properly with my old ROM.
