Also, will this be in MoDaCo 3? I might wait until then if it is.

Cool cool, all seemed to work out ok for me and be easy enough, but I like the idea of staying safe.
So, does SPL supersede ROM updates, or I need to repeat the SPL install each time I update MoDaCo?

Yeah, if you flash back to the stock ROM via RUU, it also flashes the stock SPL.

Whats is the Difference between 1.76.2007 and 1.33.2010 or 1.33.2005 in Partition Table

I'm running the .0004 stock SPL (white unbranded SIM unlocked HERO, UK version), 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.29 radio, RA 1.3.2 recovery, and MCR 3.0.
Should I revert to some other radio version before I flash this SPL?
Thanx in advance!

A PROBLEM FLASHING THE SPL CAN BRICK YOUR DEVICE - as such, proceed with caution. Don't flash this unless you need it, flash at your own risk, flash only to a GSM Hero and do not interrupt the flashing process (which happens on the first reboot after applying the zip). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Is this danger covered by a Nandroid backup? Will a Nandroid restore 'roll back' the change in SPL?

I'd like to flash this. I understand there's a risk that it could break my phone, but in my particular circumstance, should it just be a case of flashing the update.zip from Amon RA recovery image as for a normal ROM or Kernel update?
cheers,
James

I flashed the SPL no problems. I then followed the instructions to apply a new splashscreen using fastboot in cmd and it hangs on 'Waiting For Device'.
Sits there until interrupted. Yes I was booted into recovery and I can mount the SD card (gathering that USB Drivers are working?).
I have tried it on Windows 7 and Windows XP due to known incompatibility.
Any help would be great,
Jazzjunkz.
EDIT: No worries, figured it out for myself.
