Guest kendon Posted November 29, 2009 Report Share Posted November 29, 2009 thats not a bootscreen, it is the splash for HTC Sense UI so far we have been calling this bootscreen, also because of it's location: /system/media/bootscreen you can put your own gif images and mp3 sounds there, have a look at boot_animation.xml from the same folder. it is pretty straigtforward. Thanks. lol, a search for "bootscreen" could have helped :D http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-hero...ootscreen-v0-1/ btw, i didn't care for any values at all, just created default gif images with gimp, all worked so far. but i had problems with some gifs i got from the net, over at xda someone wanted the animated "htc - quietly brilliant" log as a bootscreen, didn't get that to show at all.
