Hello guys,

I try to run the fastboot recovery mode to install MoDaCo 3.0 but after I write "fastboot boot cm-hero-recovery.img", I am getting a "downloading 'boot.img'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".

I did some searches on the net and solution seemed to use Flashrec tu run custom recovery mode. But here are the problems...

First of all, when I try to flash my SD Card in the HTC Hero interface, nothing happens. Already strange.

In Flashrec, If i try a backup, it is not working (Could not run command). I tried clicking at the right of the button too to make appear the "*" symbol and the Flash Recovery button appears by the way.

If I click on it, I get "Flash FAILED: Could not run command."

I tried to write either "/sdcard/cm-hero-recovery.img" or "sdcard/cm-hero-recovery.img".

I have already tested FlasRec in 20090815 and 1.1.2-20090909 versions.

If anyone can help?

By advance, thanks!

And here are my system informations:

Version 1.5

Radio 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18

Kernel 2.6.27-0078c992 htc-kernel@and18-2 #851

ROM build MoDaCo Custom ROM 2.6 Core

Version 1.0.0A6288

so if you hold down home when you switch on the phone does it drop into a recovery image?

...

Thank you so much!

It was that.

I did not see the permanent recovery boot stuff. I tried by holding home while switching the phone and could update the radio and MoDaCo ROM. Everything worked like a charm.

Once again, a big thanks for this super fast answer and help.
