trying to figure out the best way to compensate for the lack of sensitivity on the omnia by finding the most finger friendly ui that makes it as easy as possible to navigate through the phone

most of them are on this video:

if u want post ur screens of ur favorite UI so everyone can see =]

Try PointUI or SPB Mobile Shell. Infinity also looks good.

Agreed.  MS makes using the Omnia a lot easier, and totally customizeable.

Agreed with MS3 but touchflo works well too, though MS3 is smoother.

Great idea and fantastic to see proper polling... didn't know you could do this sort of thing! :-o

One suggestion on this poll though - there is more to a good UI than finger-friendlyness aye (not sure how much detail one get get in this type of poll tho?), but still, good on ya for setting the poll up :-)

Would you please consider setting up a poll for ROMs - there is a poll of sorts running for i900 ROMs here, but it would be great to see a proper poll on i8000 ROMs

Cheers,

tw

thanks for your reply, i realise that your poll is in the i900 forum. Would you be able to tell me how you set up your poll so I could do the same in the i8000 forum for i8000 ROMs please? PM me if you like rather than detract from the purpose of this post

Cheers,

nah i can tell you right here, just click new topic in the upper right hand corner and you have to fill out the basic info but at the top there should be a poll editor option and you basically just fill it out...if you need more help i can go in depth but its not hard to do

I've tried most interfaces mentioned above and going back to Winterface. It's the only one that doesn't require you to swipe trough multiple screens. Most interfaces look slick but you have to navigate trough multiple screens to get the info you need. I get lost in SPB mobile shell's maze of screens even with skins, TouchFlo offers too little info per screen, PointUI is too slow.
Winterface gives me all the info I need on one screen with detailed info just a push (not swipe) away.

It also offers a good built-in lock screen and superb integration with FunSMS and FunContact which makes for a very comfortable phone.

i often felt the same way...however i hated the fact that when u push the end key it takes you out of winterface and back to titanium, this was very annoying, if u could fix that then id deff be on winterface too...

To me that's a bonus as you can still run something usefull on the today screen which is allways just a push of the button away.Easy acces to my agenda overview (Pocketbreeze) and financial status (SPB finance today plugin).

I think it's WVGA only, not WQVGA compatible.

I LOVE SPB Mobile Shell, but I haven't used it for five months because I got tired of resetting EVERYTHING every time I flashed to a new ROM.  Is there a way to back up widget settings and whatnot for SPBMS so that it can be done automatically after a flash?
