As a former adb noob I wasn't able to flash any recovery, i decided to modify Paul's superboot .bat for windows (sorry, my linux/osx knowlegdge is more limited)

Steps:

- Unzip recovery.zip to any folder

- Add the recovery.img of your liking to that folder

- Reboot your Liquid in bootloader mode

- Double click on install-recovery-windows.bat

voilĂ , recovery flashed!!

I posted this somewhere else before, but i think it deserves its own thread, for easy access.

Use this on your own risk, i hope this is helpful.

EDIT: if you are having troubles entering the recovery (i.e. when you restart in recovery mode it restarts), doing this helped me (and upgraded my radio by the way :) )

Note you lose everything, so backup your data!!

download: ACER Download Tool for A1 and Acer_Liquid_1.004.00.zip

Use the "ACER Download Tool [single]" from the first and browse for Acer_Liquid_1.004.00_EMEA_GEN1_T1_e1ca22a636bec3314f7262d08c87dbaf.bin in the "Original Image"box.

Use it with your phone in normal mode.

So the steps would be:

1. Flash the 1.004 rom via acer downloader

2. Flash the custom recovery

3. (Optional) Flash a custom rom

recovery.zip

I've installed the recovery via fastboot and through the recovery flasher, but still can't boot into recovery mode.

tried:

Volume UP + Camera + Power

Volume DOWN+ Camera+ Power

Tried Quickbootas well without any luck.

I can't boot into Recovery.

Can anyone help?

Hi,

Havent tried Seth's recovery, but have found that I have to take out the battery and put it back before I press volume down + cam + power. If I just turn the phone off and press the buttons it wont go into recovery :)

I've tested it but the cmd window stops with <waiting for device>. Liquid is pluged in and in Bootloader Mode.

any idea?

EDIT: solved it. sometimes its better to install the drivers :)

I have a comment... they look like my batch files and binaries! You should have left the OSX and Mac ones in too! :)

P

Sure they are! I tweeted u about it before posting and state it in the first post, i just modified the .bat . About linux and osx i dont know how to edit .sh, if u can tell me how to or want to do it yourself, will be a great addition. (Just got my macbook pro a few days ago)

the first thing that led me to "release"this flasher was precisely having that issue the first time i tried to flash a recvery (via fastboot command in the pc)

the procedure i followed is now posted in this thread's first post, i hope it works for you
