i900 Rom's ONLY!!! Remember you flash at your own risk!

I remember the first time I decided it was time to flash my Rom as the standard (WM 6.1) was getting boring, it was slow, laggy and past it's used by date.
When I finally had the courage to risk "bricking" my phone I had no idea where to turn, which Rom to flash or how to do it.

Ive decided to put together this thread for beginners at Flashing. Ive compiled a list of talented chef's here at Modaco who have turned our once boring stock standard phones into the most advanced and current OS's(operating system) with a large numer of UI'(user interface) available.

Here are links to the chef's pages. Each chef cook's to his own style. I would recomend that you download a number of Rom's and test to see which you prefer and try and find which chef cook's to your style. If you dont like the Rom try a different one, please dont leave negative feedback because it doesnt suit your style, each chef spends a lot of their own time compling Rom's so please respect that induvidals creation.

I will also post links for "how to flash" and this would be your first port of call and info on what COM builds are and how they differentiate.

Start Here http://www.modaco.co...00-omnia-phone/ and here http://www.modaco.co...900-i908-omnia/. Once you have read and understood the instructions you can find and download a Rom from one of these great chef's.

Heres a few links to our legendery chef's who have moved on from the i900 community but left behind a legacy and without doubt the biggest contribution to the i900 development, inspiration and knowledge here at Modaco. These are older Rom builds and not the latest! But still good!

Heres some info on COM builds so you know what the hell is going on when you see a whole heap of new roms with all different numbers! http://www.modaco.co...ches-explained/

Cheers guys! Happy and safe FLASHING! :)

This is a great thing that you are starting. I only want to suggest you to correct a little mistake that you have made. You have pasted the user profile again under Ste-V-illage's name. Everything else is just fine.

The reason I left it out was that he has said that he wont be making lite rom's anymore. I will attach for you guys though!

Yes! NarutoDKz is one of our new chefs here. I've tested his titanium build and I can say that he's doing very well. I guess you only forgot to include his name...

Let me help you:

Ok, i am a new Omnia i900L user, have alreadt read the topics and choose a ROM to flash. As my Omnia is still in warranty i need the possibility to flash back my stock ROM, so i need to back it up. Can some mercyful soul help me with this? I tried i900Dumper, but i could not make it work and tried also winhex but here i would have to buy the full version for a one time use.

Samsung Galaxy S, with gingerbread ROM 2.3.2
