Hi

Just installed 3.1 'CustomCustom' ROM. Brilliant. Well worth £10!

Just one snag which I hope to have answered for future reference.

I did a Titanium backup, a MyBackup Pro backup and a Nandroid backup before doing a wipe to install the ROM. I was then able to restore all my apps, settings and data from either Titanium or MyBackup EXCEPT the notes I had had in the 'Notes' application.

I was able to get them back with a Nandroid restore to pre-ROM, take a manual note of the notes then restore again to post-ROM and re-enter data, BUT I can't help feeling thre must be a better way of doing it.

Anyone know ow to backup 'Notes'?

Many thanks.

Your notes should be saved on the fat32 partition of your SD card in a folder called "androidNote".

Hi

Can't find any such folder on the SD card or anywhere else in the phone.

Must be saved somewhere but...

Thanks anyway.

A great deal of Googling later, I have found where the 'Notes' are, so for the information of anyone who needs to save them before a wipe they are in

/data/data/com.marigold.android.notes/databases/notes

which is a SQLite database.

  • 1 year later...

Anyone knows what format they store the "notes_body" in? "notes_title" is just plain test, but the body is a hex string. I need to recover (text) notes from a Titanium Backup archive.
