I created an avd for Android 2.1 and downloaded several custom roms. Created an *.img-file with UltraISO and started the avd with: emulator -data hero21 -system customrom.img -sdcard sd.iso The avd begins to boot but stands still with boottext "ANDROID" and blinking cursor. Thanks in advance. try to use: emulator -show-kernel -data hero21 -system customrom.img -sdcard sd.iso : it will show the kernel msg..this way you can find whats stopping the process.. btw the data: hero21 ..is it a folder/img/zip file ??
