Email Groups

Hi

Is it possible to create email groups? so that i can say email 'football' and it will know to send to my friends in the football group?

I am using google mail on a pulse running the vanilla 1.7 (1.5 os) rom.

I can find an option for contact groups but have no idea what use they are at all??? whats the point in a contact group when u can't email or text directly to it???

please help as my mates hd2 can do this!!!!!!! lol

just had play with the google mail web client and email groups work fine.

just not supported on the phone then?
